The Tallman Foundation is dedicated to supporting positive education and healthy living programs for youth in Winnipeg.
In 1942, Harvey Tallman reluctantly traded his 3 ton truck for an auto wrecking shop on Princess Street. When the Second World War came to an end, there were a lot of army surplus good around. Harvey saw this as an opportunity to buy and sell these goods. A good buy on aircraft tires led to manufacturing wagons. The company grew and grew through purchasing goods in Japan and marketing these goods in Canada. All items were listed and sold in the famous "Princess Auto Catalogue". In 1976, Harvey Tallman retired, Harvey's sons Larry and Bob began a new era of expanding Princess Auto throughout Canada.
