As of 2010, The Tallman Foundation along with family and private company sponsors has presented 13 students with the opportunity to further their education with full post-secondary scholarships. This year, the foundation presented 17 MORE STUDENTS with the same scholarship alongside families and business owners who have joined our cause.
On Thursday, June 23, 2011, students from St. John's, Tec Voc, Sisler, Garden City, West Kildonan, Maples, Miles Macdonell and Children of the Earth high schools celebrated their achievements with family members, friends, school division representatives, and those of us from The Tallman Foundation at Canad Inns Garden City. The event was emceed by HOT 103's Ace Burpee.

The Rady Jewish Community Centre will be awarding The Tallman Foundation as their pick for Philanthropist of the Year at their annual "Y" Sports Dinner on Tuesday, June 21st, 2011.
The award will be recognizing the organization for its Student Sponsorship program, providing full post-secondary scholarships to high school students in need, in addition to its many north end education and activity programs.
On Thursday, April 14th, 2011, The Tallman family will received the Sir Hugh John Macdonald Award at the Macdonald Youth Services (MYS) Gala Under the Big Top Benefit. MYS honoured the Tallmans for their practical assistance to youth in the community, and their efforts to aid in these students' education and development of life skills.
Previous to 2011, the Sir Hugh John Macdonald award had only been given to one individual at a time--making the Tallman family the first-ever group recipient.
